Every Thursday we host Cafe,
a free community meal in the heart of historic Dubuque where no matter what, no matter who, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome. Beginning October 15, 2020, from 4:30-5:30 PM guests will be able to come indoors to pick up their to-go meal, drink including hot coffee or hot chocolate along with personal hygiene items (if needed). Guests will not be allowed to stay inside to eat meals unless they do not have a shelter/home where they reside. Our goal is to be able to provide a warm area for guests to come in from the cold for a few minutes as the weather is changing. Procedures that will be enforced to protect the safety of all guests and volunteers will be posted. Cafe Ministry and 1st Congregational Church follows Masks and Face Coverings in accordance with the City of Dubuque’s Ordinance No. 31-20 requiring masks and face coverings as outlined here. |

OVER A QUARTER CENTURY OF SERVICE
1994 We began serving 40 people dinner each Thursday in a program we called “Café.”
2019 Twenty five years later, we prepare meals for 200 people and have expanded Cafe to include:
NEW NEEDS, NEW OPPORTUNITIES
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
“Premier Bank is proud to join our employees in support of First Congregational of Dubuque's Thursday night community meal. We are honored to be a small part of enhancing the lives of our friends and neighbors”
– Jeffrey P. Mozena, President, Premier Bank
“It’s wonderful to be able to refer people to Café knowing that they are not only going to get a fantastic meal and have the opportunity to build relationships with others. This opportunity is our favorite way to strengthen our team outside of our office.”
– Josh Jasper, President/CEO, Resources Unite
